The operation is performed under general anesthesia. The average stay on the ward is 8-10 days.
The tissue used for breast reconstruction reconstruction is a back muscle with a skin island, which is then rotated forwards.

Before the operation, the skin incisions for removing the back muscle together with the skin island are determined and marked with the patient (green line).
This is done in such a way that the remaining scar on the back can be well hidden/covered under the bra or bikini top.

During the operation, the back muscle is then rotated along its nourishing vessel in the armpit towards the breast according to the markings.
For small breasts on the left without an implant, for large breasts on the left with an implant.

After the rotation of the tissue block (muscle part and skin island) and its shaping into a new breast on the right, the tissue is well supplied with blood again and can heal as a new breast without any problems.
